Long Forgotten Hero...

This post is not boring and not stale. It is not about the current state of gas oil suppliers and how Katy Perry has a new song out which is essentially the same as all her others, but just messed with slightly. It is also not about global warming, the environment, how to repair a catalytic converter or why all squirrels should be shot on sight because they are a nuisance (This is not a One Show Style post, I’ll have you know, and for the record this here writer does not endorse shooting any animal unless it is attacking one’s face and that is the only solution, but if you must do this then for goodness sake be careful...).

No, this post is about something that so few people write about that it is, quite simply, utterly CRIMINAL. For this post, dear reader, is about hot chocolate, and I do NOT mean the group.

As I sit here, right this moment as I type this, I have a hot chocolate beside the computer just begging to be drunk. And it’s not just any old hot chocolate, I’ll have you know. It’s a cup made from the exact right amount of hot chocolate powder (Cadbury’s of course) and hot milk and hot water.

It’s perfection in a mug, basically.

I decided to write about this for one simple reason: hot chocolate has long been craving the success and public reputation it so strongly deserves, and who should beat it down commercially day-in-day-out? Why, coffee, of course. That caffeine assisted little addict that wants us all to be hooked and will stop at nothing to snare its victims.

Coffee is such a show off, isn’t it? Latte, Espresso, regular, tall, black, with cream. The mind boggles as to the dark depths that coffee will sink to. But hot chocolate on the other hand...Hot chocolate is pure and doesn’t need to show off. It is made from finest chocolate and inspired by old folklore and is the perfect accompaniment to a late evening treat.

It is time, people. Stop this coffee nonsense and support the pride of chocolate for once!
